Hi there, yes I am using the CanoScan 9000 f for many years now and I think it does the job, together with VueScan Software and obviously photoshop you can get a lot out of your negatives. Apart from that I tried some epsons a few times, but not often enough to really be able to have an opinion about them and when I bought the scanner they sold me a different software, something with "silver" in the name I think, they told me its amazing, but i thought it was pretty shit, VueScan is all you need...
